Donald Trump arrived at Windsor Castle, making history as the first U.S.
president to be invited by the British monarchy for two state visits.
He was greeted by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William,
and Princess Catherine, with First Lady Melania Trump at his side.
The couple arrived by helicopter after landing in the U.K. earlier in the day.
The Trumps were welcomed with a formal procession through the Windsor estate,
joined by members of the royal family. While the visit was historic
and steeped in tradition, much of the online conversation has centered
on Melania Trump’s choice of attire, which stood out in the ceremonial setting.
She wore a tailored charcoal gray two-piece suit paired with a wide-brimmed
hat, a look that quickly drew attention across social media and from
fashion commentators. Observers noted the ensemble’s elegance and how
it balanced modernity with the formality expected at such an event.
During their stay, the Trumps are scheduled to attend several official
engagements, including a state lunch and a ceremony honoring the
late Queen Elizabeth II. They will also join Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer
for an evening performance and banquet. Discussions between leaders
are expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the two nations.
