Former NFL defensive tackle Arthur Jones has passed away at age 39, the Baltimore Ravens confirmed on October 3, 2025.
The cause of death was not disclosed. Jones, who played for the Ravens from 2010 to 2013, was a key
contributor to their Super Bowl XLVII victory, remembered for his strength and leadership on the defensive line.
Born June 3, 1986, in Rochester, New York, Jones excelled in sports from a young age. He played college football at Syracuse University,
where his power and versatility earned him recognition and a place in the 2010 NFL Draft, selected by the Ravens in the fifth round.

After four seasons, he went on to play for the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins, retiring in 2017 due to recurring injuries.
