Authorities in Florence County, South Carolina, report that a 10th teenager is expected to surrender in connection with the fatal shooting
of 16-year-old Trey Dean Wright. The June 24 incident, which occurred in a remote area near Johnsonville, is believed to have been a planned setup.
Wright was allegedly lured to the scene by his girlfriend, Gianna Kistenmacher, where he encountered a group of teens. Devan Scott Raper,
19, is accused of shooting Wright after previously threatening him. Raper faces charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a
violent crime and remains jailed without bond. Kistenmacher has been charged as an accessory before the fact and released to home confinement.
Several other teens have also been charged for helping orchestrate the encounter, with some identified as adults and others
kept anonymous due to age. Investigators say they knew Raper was armed and still helped bring Wright to the location.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office described the case as deeply tragic, emphasizing that the killing stemmed from a personal dispute. Authorities stressed
that careful investigation led to the arrests, calling the event a sobering reminder of how quickly conflict can destroy young lives.
