My Neighbor Doused My Car With Water In Freezing Weather…

I never fit in with my wealthy neighbors, especially with my dad’s

old 1989 sedan, which meant everything to me. One day, my neighbor Tom,

in his usual condescending tone, complained that my car was an “eyesore”

and demanded I get rid of it to preserve the neighborhood’s “quality of life.”

I refused to back down, and he threatened to make me replace it.The next morning,

I found my car completely frozen in clear ice, like someone had deliberately

hosed it down overnight. Tom smugly claimed it was just “Mother Nature,”

but I knew better. Later, I discovered that a fire hydrant had burst on his property,

freezing his home and luxury SUV in a thick layer of ice.I decided to help him clear the ice,

despite his previous rudeness. After hours of work, Tom apologized and handed me $5,000

to fix or replace my car. I took the money, restored the sedan to pristine condition,

and made sure to rev the engine every time I passed Tom’s house.Sometimes, the best

revenge is simply doing the right thing. My dad always said class is about

how you treat others — even when they don’t deserve it
