This mother woke up to her dog going nuts in the backyard, so she walked through the kitchen and let the dog in the house.

Nana Chaichanhda repeatedly said, “I owe Sasha my life,” after her pit bull saved her

family from a fire. On a night when Sasha was allowed outside, she began barking and

thumping at the door, waking Nana. Upon opening the door, Nana saw Sasha rush to her baby’s

room and then noticed a nearby apartment in flames. Shocked, she found Sasha tugging at

her baby’s diaper, trying to pull her to safety. Realizing the danger, Nana quickly evacuated

with her children and alerted neighbors, ensuring everyone escaped before the fire consumed the building.

Sasha’s quick actions saved lives, and the entire neighborhood was grateful for her bravery.

Nana felt incredibly lucky to have such a devoted pet, realizing how deep the bond was between

Sasha and her baby, Masailah. Though she always knew they were close, this act of heroism proved Sasha’s unwavering love and loyalty.
