“Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization,” Mellencamp wrote on her

Instagram page Wednesday. “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumours on my

brain, which they believe have been growing for at least six months.”

She informed her followers that doctors would surgically remove two of the tumors that day,

February 12. The rest of the tumors, the smaller ones, will “be dealt with via radiation at a later date.” Read more below
