Harris’s Baffling Broadway Speech Sparks Outrage and Laughter—What’s Next for Her and Emhoff?

Former Vice President Kamala Harris recently gave a speech at the Broadway performance

of A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical, which left many viewers confused.

While attempting to inspire the cast, her words quickly became what critics dubbed a “word salad.” In her viral remarks, Harris said,

“nature abhors a vacuum,” and spoke about filling vacancies and the expansion of rights,

before adding, “we’re seeing a U-turn right now” to maintain those rights. Many found

her speech disjointed, and social media quickly reacted, with some mocking her for using unclear and pompous language.
