ICE, Homeland Security raid bakery, charge owners with harboring illegal immigrants

Texas bakery owners Leonardo Baez and Nora Alicia Avila-Guel face felony

charges after ICE and HSI raided their business, arresting eight suspected illegal immigrants.

The owners admitted to knowing their employees were undocumented, and two workers

allegedly confirmed they were “willfully” harbored, leading to charges under 8 USC 1324.

This case reflects the Trump administration’s strict immigration policies, including

workplace enforcement and border security measures. Trump declared a national emergency

at the border and designated criminal gangs like MS-13 as terrorist organizations,

intensifying the crackdown on illegal immigration.
