Authorities discovered the couple on February 26 after a caretaker’s distressing 911 call.

Hackman, Arakawa, and one of their dogs were found deceased, with no immediate signs of

foul play. Investigators are considering carbon monoxide poisoning, as a space heater

was moved, and pills were found near Arakawa’s body. Toxicology tests are underway as the family awaits answers.
