Man Gets The Perfect Revenge When The City Forces Him To Put His Boat Behind A Fence

Man Outsmarts HOA With Boat Mural

When Etienne Constable was told by his homeowners association to hide

his boat from view—or face a $100 fine—he complied, but with a twist.

The HOA rule required large vehicles like boats to be hidden behind a six-foot fence.

Constable built the fence, then had a local artist paint a mural of

the boat on it, perfectly visible from the street.

The boat had been parked in his driveway for four years before complaints began.
