Brooke Hogan Found Peace in a Final Call with Her Father, Hulk Hogan, Before His Death
Brooke Hogan found bittersweet closure in a final phone call with her father, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, before his death from
cardiac arrest on July 24, 2025. Despite years of estrangement, their last conversation in September 2023 offered Brooke
a sliver of peace. She had urged him to slow down, to prioritize his health. He vaguely apologized but, ultimately, didn’t change course.
Brooke’s husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, had tried to mend their strained bond. But tensions remained. Brooke
did not attend Hulk’s wedding to Sky Daily, and he never met his grandchildren. According to Brooke, he wanted a relationship—but only on his terms.
Still, Brooke is grateful she got to say, “I love you.” In her words, she has peace knowing she did what she could. Yet her pain runs deep.
In response to public comments by her mother, Linda Hogan—who posted a tearful video lamenting loneliness and condemning Hulk—Brooke broke her silence.
She revealed she hasn’t spoken to Linda in nearly eight years, and said her mother’s emotional video “only scratched the surface.”
Brooke spoke candidly about enduring years of verbal, mental, and sometimes physical abuse from both parents.
She said she’s chosen to “break the chain” and raise her own children in a healthier, more loving home.
In January 2025, Brooke and Steven welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly. She’s since focused on healing
and building a life grounded in peace, even as she continues to grieve what could have been.
Meanwhile, Linda Hogan has leaned into activism and women’s empowerment, speaking about rebuilding after
betrayal and hardship. The family’s past remains fractured—but Brooke is determined to write a better future.
