YoCrunch Yogurt Recalled Due to Plastic Contamination
Danone US has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of YoCrunch yogurts after consumers found plastic fragments in the dome-style toppers.
Though no injuries have been reported, the recall was prompted by safety concerns, especially for children. The fragments, found in the candy,
cookie, or granola toppings, range from 7 to 25 millimeters and pose choking or injury risks if mixed into the yogurt and consumed.
The recall affects all flavors and sizes of YoCrunch with dome toppers and Best By dates between July 7 and September 4, 2025.
Consumers should not eat the yogurt, even if it appears fine. Instead, return it or contact Danone Consumer Support at 1-877-326-6668 for a refund.
Danone responded quickly and is working with the FDA to investigate and strengthen safety protocols. While recalls are common,
this incident serves as a reminder for consumers to check food packaging regularly—especially for children’s snacks.
Despite the recall, Danone’s swift and transparent handling has helped prevent reported injuries. Staying informed
and cautious is key to food safety. If symptoms arise after eating the product, seek medical attention and report it to the FDA.
