Tammy Slaton, star of 1000-Lb. Sisters, has lost an incredible 540 pounds since reaching her peak weight of 725 pounds.
Originally aiming to shed just 30 pounds, she instead gained 100 during the pandemic, making her journey even harder.
Tammy struggled with major health issues, including needing an oxygen tube and a wheelchair, and battled food addiction
through multiple treatments. Despite facing heartbreak—especially the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in 2023—she remained determined.
In July 2022, she underwent bariatric surgery, which played a key role in her transformation. By season seven, she had reached 238 pounds.
On a recent podcast with Ezell Film Company, Tammy reflected on losing “three whole versions” of herself and expressed amazement at her own progress.
She also shared with PEOPLE her anxiety before undergoing skin removal surgery in January 2025, which successfully
removed over 15 pounds of excess skin. Though nervous, she recovered quickly and returned home earlier than expected.
Tammy’s honesty, resilience, and transformation continue to inspire fans and loved ones alike. Her story is a powerful
reminder of strength, perseverance, and the ability to overcome even the toughest challenges.
