A quiet evening in Hilliard, Florida, turned tragic when 34-year-old Christopher Bobby Rowell killed his wife,
32-year-old Marissa Rowell, her sister, 33-year-old Alisha Fogarty, and their mother, 71-year-old Sandra Fogarty,
before shooting himself. He was found alive but later died in the hospital. The sole survivor was Marissa’s five-year-old daughter.
Sheriff Bill Leeper said the child was in the back of the house when she heard a gunshot. She saw one victim before being pulled into a bathroom,
then escaped to a neighbor’s home. Deputies found the victims in separate rooms, along with Rowell and an SKS-style rifle.
Family members revealed Marissa had planned to leave Rowell and take the child. Cousin Steven Hallmark
described a history of abuse, threats, drinking, and controlling behavior. “He took the lives of three beautiful women,” he said.
The child is now with Rowell’s mother. A GoFundMe has been launched to cover cremation costs, legal fees, and her long-term care. Neighbors say the community
is shaken, and Steven urged those in abusive relationships to seek help. The tragedy is a sobering reminder of the deadly toll domestic violence can take.
