Husband Sentenced After Tragic Stabbing of Wife in Phoenix Parking Lot

Stephen Dennis, 36, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the death

of his wife, Aliccia Grant, 37. The incident occurred just after midnight on September 9, 2024, in a Home Depot

parking lot in north Phoenix. Witnesses heard Grant screaming for help before she later died at a hospital.

Dennis, seated next to her during the attack, later called 911 and confessed, directing police to the weapon.

Authorities said the couple had recently married and were discussing an annulment. County Attorney Rachel Mitchell

called the act especially cruel due to the betrayal within a marital relationship.

Grant, a beloved makeup artist known as Glamazon Makeup, was remembered as a creative entrepreneur and

devoted mother of two. A GoFundMe campaign raised funds for her funeral and to support her children’s future.

Her death has deeply impacted the Phoenix community, highlighting the ongoing issue of domestic violence. Authorities continue investigating related

incidents and encourage anyone with information to come forward, while also asking the public to respect the privacy of Grant’s grieving family.
